Dr. Dana
Dr. Dana grew up on Long Island and attended Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio for both her undergraduate and dental
education. She received her BS in Dentistry and her DDS in 1987.
She received her specialty training
in Pediatric Dentistry from University of Kentucky, Lexington KY. This
extensive training included a heavy emphasis on orthodontics and and growth
and development, thus allowing Dr Dana the ability to provide orthodontic
screenings as well as the ability to screen habit and airway issues.
Dr. Dana has been an active member
of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry and the DC Dental Society, having held numerous leadership positions
with the DC Dental Society, including being on the Board of Directors.
There have been articles about her in the Washington Post, Washingtonian
Magazine and she has been featured on the four local television stations,
as well as on the Today Show.
Dr. Dana believes it is critical
that members of the community help each other and continues to donate
her services to children referred by Jewish Social Services, Catholic
Charities, and Kids Save, as well as from individual school counselors.
Always involved in charitable organizations, Dr Dana had the opportunity
to become politically active in 2008 when her ANC commissioner resigned.
In May 2008, Dr. Dana was elected ANC2D01 Commissioner in a three way
contest.
Dr. Dana was named as a top vote
getter in Washingtonian Magazine’s list of Top Dentists for the
past three editions and has been listed in each list since she began her
practice. She has also been highly rated by Washington Consumer Checkbook. |
